Nature museums and zoos are increasingly
incorporating more theme park features,
with exhibition design and souvenir sales altering their original educational nature, Alan Bryman defines the occupation of everyday spaces by theme park features as Disneyisation, a process in which the
structures of cultural production and consumption are qualitatively altered and
the visitor experience is dominated by consumerism. This project questions the Disneyisation of institutions such as the nature gallery and the zoo in the form of images, and the use of eye-tracking detectors to reprocess the images, reminding of the
control and connection between consumption and viewing.
